Are you interested in a nursing career but want to ensure that nursing is right for you? Take a sneak peek at what your future can hold with the Methodist College Nurse in Action Program! Spend a day with Methodist College students and experience what it's like to be on the path to a career in nursing.
What Can I Expect?
You will observe both student nurses and professional RNs at work, and you will have the opportunity to ask them questions about their job and their education. You will spend the day in a hospital clinical setting, visiting patient rooms and shadowing your student nurse as he or she provides patient care.
In addition, you will enjoy lunch with students and discover the educational and social environment that surrounds a nursing student.
How Can I Participate?
Sessions are held during the college semester on Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. Participants must be at the hospital no later than 8:45am. It is important that you display promptness and reliability by arriving at the agreed upon time.
