College of Agricultural, Consumer, & Environmental Sciences
ACES offers prospective visits from 2 to 3 p.m. for the fall semester on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for students to connect directly with ACES majors and learn all we have to offer. We've aligned these visits with Admissions so students can have a full day at Illinois. We encourage your students to register for an ACES visit to explore their desired program and check out some of our newest majors!

Prospective students interested in exploring the vast array of majors within LAS can now select LAS - Undeclared as a first (or second) choice on the application for admission! This program is intended for students who want to discover the numerous academic disciplines within the college but aren’t yet sure which path to take.

Division of General Studies
Do you have students struggling to decide on a major? Choosing a major is, quite literally, a major decision, and it's perfectly fine to not have it figured it out yet!
Join us for a virtual event designed for high school counselors and learn why Illinois is the best place for your students to explore their options. We'll showcase how the Division of General Studies (DGS) helps students discover their strengths while guiding them on a path toward their academic interests.

We're offering high school presentations on our campus, your campus, or virtually! We've successfully partnered with high school counselors, teachers, club leaders, and college and career counselors to offer opportunities such as:
Information sessions regarding Gies business majors, minors, the application process, admissions criteria, and college life at Gies and Illinois
Q&A sessions for students to get their questions answered about opportunities and the application process for Gies and Illinois
Live panels with current Gies students and Gies alumni who want to share their perspectives
Lessons and workshops on how to create a business plan or write a resume
Interactive presentations on how personality types apply to different business majors and career paths

Historically Underrepresented Populations in Engineering
Grainger is looking to connect with you and students from underrepresented populations that have an interest in engineering, enjoy math and science, or simply like to solve problems. Registration is open now for our Explore Grainger: Women in Engineering and Explore Grainger: Minorities in Engineering events, which are full-day experiences designed to introduce prospective students and their families to all our academic programs, campus resources, and the student life at Illinois.

We’ve introduced some new majors this year! Environmental EngineeringComputer Science + Bioengineering, and Computer Science + Physics, as well as last year’s new majors, Neural Engineering and Computer Science + Education, are available for the fall 2024 application. Get to Know Grainger Engineering
We offer campus visit options every weekday, as well as events hosted by academic units and student organizations during the week and on select weekends.
This year’s Engineering Open House will be from April 5 to 6; more details can be found on our website in the coming months. Summer camps are also a great way to get to know Grainger Engineering.
